Catholic College, Sale, serves the young people of the Wellington Shire of Gippsland. The school is situated on two campuses and has a long tradition of quality academic education and care for young people. The College was formed from the amalgamation of Sion College and St Patrick's College, and retains its strong Sion and Marist heritage. The College boasts heritage buildings and modern, new facilities. Its extensive sporting facilities, playing fields, programs and achievements are renowned. The performing arts have a high and respected profile within the community. The College runs a farm to support horticultural education and has a rowing precinct on the Sale canal. The College offers a broad curriculum incorporating VELS and a wide variety of VCE, VCAL and on-campus VET subjects. Students needing additional support with their learning are assisted, and those needing extension and enrichment are provided with activities and programs. The Year 9 program is especially geared to hands-on learning focused on sustainability. The College operates a vertical pastoral care structure at the senior campus and students have plenty of opportunities to take on leadership and service roles.
