Situated in the outer-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, St Joseph's Boronia, has an enrolment of approximately 230 students. From it inception in 1963, and until 1987, the school was administered by the Presentation Sisters. 'Together we grow in faith, love and knowledge' is the motto of our school and its effectiveness is reflected in an engaging and comprehensive curriculum which calls and challenges students to aim for excellence through personal goal setting, an enquiry approach to learning and celebration of achievements. A strong Religious Education program underpins all of the arrangements we make for learning and the promotion and maintenance of community wellbeing is embedded in the school's culture. St Joseph's underwent an extensive program of refurbishment in the 1990s, and our forthcoming plans include an impressive new wing comprising an interactive learning centre, a domestic science facility, a parent education centre and student and teacher withdrawal areas. We have extensive playgrounds including numerous sports areas and an area of native bushland. AT St Joseph's we are well on our way to being a five-star sustainable school.
