Mount Pleasant Primary School, established in 1855, is located approximately 3 kilometres south east of the original Ballarat Post Office. The school's current enrolment is 225 students. The school has 15.76 equivalent full time staff: 1 Principal class, 12 teachers and 5 Education Support staff. The school attracts students from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. It has an enphasis on Numeracy and Literacy and utilizes ICT at all levels - including the use of interactive whiteboards in every teaching and learning space. The school is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment within which our students have the opportunity to realise their full intellectual, physical, creative and social/emotional potentials. The values of aspiration, respect, honesty and co-operation are seen as central to the life of our school and how community members should conduct themselves. Our complex provides students and staff with modern and exceptionally pleasant and aesthetically pleasing teaching and learning environments.
