Bendigo Violet Street Primary School has a long and proud history dating back to1867. Strong links to the school’s history are maintained through support from the Violetarians; these former students relive and celebrate the heritage and spirit of the school. With the provision of up to date technological equipment and state of the art play and sporting facilities the school provides students with excellent learning facilities. In addition the school has excellent music, art and library facilities. Extra curricular activities are strongly encouraged and supported with arts and music being an area of particular emphasis. Other social building activities including camps, sporting events, an annual school production and the school’s Leisure and Recreational program help students to strengthen their confidence and build and maintain healthy relationships. A social competencies programme which is run throughout the school aims to help students become socially and emotionally competent individuals. It is our strong belief that individuals with a well developed set of socially competent skills tend to be more successful at school and in life. We have an EFT staffing of 15.1 which includes EFT teaching staff of 8.6 and EFT ESO staff of 6.5.
