Macksville Adventist School (MAS) is a small but growing Christian school. It was established in 1967 and has now been operating for 42 years. At present MAS has only one teacher but with increasing enrolments there are plans to employ more teachers. 2009 will see the employment of the second teacher. MAS is owned and operated by the Seventh day Adventist Church but is open to students from any faith background. The curriculum is based on the state curriculum requirements. The school is situated on the edge of rural Macksville with a rural outlook and surrounded by cricket fields and farms. It offers education from kindergarten through to year 6 with the potential of starting a high school in the future if the interest from the community is there.
