St Mary's School is located in the country town of Mansfield, which is located in north-east Victoria. St Mary's Catholic Primary School is a vital element in the education in faith of the children and families of St Francis Xavier's Parish, Mansfield. Our School was established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1891. The traditions of the Sisters of Mercy are enshrined in the school community of St Mary's. The school involves its enrolment of approximately 170 students in an active learning environment which provides for varying learning styles through a rich curriculum program. Due to our locality there is a deep connection within the school to both the local community and the environment of the surrounding Mountain Ranges. Families are encouraged to take an active role within the school which supports our focus on partnerships in education. 'Caring For families' is a key theme which encompasses our school philosophy.
