Established in 1875, the school is located in the City of Brimbank and adjacent to Keilor Village. The facilities consist of a blend of architecturally designed buildings, the most recent of which houses eight classrooms and open learning spaces and is due for opening mid 2011. The balance of the buildings consist of relocatable classrooms; a Library, Art/Craft facilities, Computer Laboratory and a purpose built hall, which is utilised by the local community.The grounds comprise landscaped garden areas, playing and sporting fields and four modern adventure playgrounds, as well as a passive play area and performance stage. We have approximately 450 students who travel to the school from across a wide area. Teaching and learning programs are organised around teams at each level of the Victorian Curriculum. Keilor Primary School prides itself on catering to the learning needs of all students to both support and extend their learning. The curriculum is enhanced by a blend of traditional and innovative teaching styles together with additional learning experiences gained through a variety of enrichment programs including Performing Arts, the annual Art Show and a camping program commencing in grade two.
