Lansdowne Public School is located twenty minutes from Taree in a rural setting. Our current enrolment of approximately 70 students is catered for in three classes. Our team of dedicated, caring and highly motivated staff help to create a learning environment that delivers explicit, sequential and challenging programs within the quality teaching framework. Our smaller class sizes mean each child receives more personalised attention from their teacher. A strong emphasis is placed on literacy and numeracy within the school. An extensive technology presence is maintained at Lansdowne Public School, combining internet-connected computers with interactive whiteboards in every classroom and the library. We boast a dedicated technology centre which allows all students individual access to a networked computer. Video conferencing facilities are established in the double classroom. Our environmental program is comprehensive with plans for future projects to enhance our school's sustainability. The school and community maintain and support a strong focus on performing arts. The school boasts a senior and junior choir. The importance of student voice is an integral part of our school philosophy as evidenced by our Student Parliament.
