Condobolin Public School is an inclusive primary school in the townships of Condobolin. It is considered to be a remote school and is located close to the geographic centre of New South Wales. At Condobolin Public School the students are Strong, Smart and Proud. Though geographically isolated, our team of teachers and support staff work together to ensure that all students are provided with quality instruction in literacy, numeracy and other subjects. They support development of the whole child through a range of activities including team sports, circus skills, lessons in culture and peer support, choir, Aboriginal dance, technology and excursions. Students have also participated in the additional individual activities of public speaking, regional spelling competitions and can join in Active Afer School Activities, which operates three afternoons a week.. Condobolin Public School attracts a variety of funding sources in addition to the annual Global funding allocation, including Priority Schools Funding, Schools in Partnership, Country Areas Program, National Partnerships on Low Socio-economic Communities and Norta Norta. At the end of first semester, funding ceased through National Partnerships on Literacy and Numeracy. In addition, our school was identified in 2011 as a focus school on Community Engagement as part of the “Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Action Plan 2010 – 2014”, and as a pilot school for “Wambinya” to address the needs of Aboriginal students in the early years.
