At Dimboola Primary School we seek to provide our students with a safe, secure and supportive environment based upon teamwork, respect, flexibility and trust so that they have the opportunity to achieve their personal best. We have 7 grades for our 156 students, which consists of 2 composite grades at Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 with Preps being our only single year level grade. This school has 12.6 equivalent full time staff: 1 Principal class, 9.4 teachers and 2.2 Education Support staff. There is a strong commitment to coaching, team work, professional development and sharing to continually develop teacher capacity. We provide opportunities for our students to maximise their learning with all classrooms having access to interactive white boards and netbooks. Close analysis of student data by teachers ensures that programs are focussed, explicit and at the point of need for individuals as well as groups. Our school values of Respect, Honesty, Resilience and Tolerance are promoted through our successful student wellbeing programs. The You Can Do It! Program, Restorative Practices and Act of Kindness have resulted in continued high levels of student behaviour and wellbeing. We continue to work closely with the local secondary college as we progress towards our goal of co-locating and providing enhanced educational facilities and opportunities for all students in Dimboola.
