University Senior College is an independent senior secondary school located on The University of Adelaide campus. The School offers a unique learning experience in a university setting and an academic pathway to tertiary studies in which all students are expected to pursue the South Australian Certificate of Education. Our 340 local students come from diverse backgrounds as they arrive from more than 80 private and public schools across South Australia. Our International intake of 70 students comes primarily from South East Asia. The resultant student population is an eclectic mix of highly motivated and enthusiastic young people who work together with staff to build a positive and dynamic learning community. The highly experienced and skilled staff prepares students to make a successful transition between secondary and tertiary study. In addition to attending lectures, lessons and tutorials, our daily routine provides a genuine opportunity for students to work one-to-one with their teachers outside of these times to enhance their understanding and achievements. We provide a cooperative teaching and learning environment that fosters development of knowledge, learning strategies, self-reliance and a sense of self-worth that enables students to fulfil their potential.
