Mooroopna Park Primary school is located in the northern end of the Mooroopna Township. The school's current enrolment is 90 students. The school was established in 1980 and is set in spacious, park like grounds adjacent to Mooroopna Secondary College. The school has an SFO index of 0.80. A quarter of the school's population comes from an indigenous heritage. The school has a very high transient population. We are an inclusive school that provides a safe, secure and stimluating learning environment catering for the diverse range of learning styles and cultural differences. We strive to build emotional intelligence in all our students. Our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience are paramount. The school has the eqivalent of 11.9 staff, which includes one Principal, one Lead ing teacher, four full time teachers, 1.3 pat time teachers, three full time Education Support Staff and 1.6 part time Educaiton Support staff. We provide a depth and breadth of curriculum with a particular focus on Literacy and Numeracy skill acquisition, following the 2011 Hume Region's Literacy and Numeracy Strategy. In 2010, the School was part of the National Partnerships Program, which provided additional funds to support a Leading Teacher position, the Bluearth Program and literacy intervention support staff. The School's BER project was completed in December 2010, providing three new learning spaces, linked together with a project space for IT.
