Maffra Primary School is focused on delivering a comprehensive learning program to our students and to prepare them to be active and positive citizens. Our school is a P-6 school of 289 students in the rural area of Maffra in central Gippsland. The school has achieved well in the School Performance Summary achieving results similar to other schools in the school comparison measures, except for Year 3 Numeracy under NAPLAN. The school is strongly focused on a program to improve results through staff working with Patrick Griffin and Melbourne University to develop a clear understanding of each student's current learning level and a strategy to take them to the next level. The school will continue to work on these important programs while also adjusting our teaching and learning delivery to take advantage of the opportunities brought by our new buildings that were ready for use at the start of 2010.
