Melton South Primary School has a population of 355 students. It is a place where learning is an enriching experience shared by students, teachers and parents who cooperate in an active and stimulating partnership. Our 2 Principal Class, 21 Teaching staff and 13 Education Support staff provide quality education that challenges all students to attain their highest potential academically, socially, creatively and physically. Our motto is Fulfilment through Learning and its prime focus is to enable our students to develop a strong feeling of connectedness to school, confidence, self worth and to develop skills to enable them to contribute positively to society. High academic, social and moral standards are expected, encouraged and recognised. PSD students are supported to achieve their highest potential. We foster and support staff to achieve professional excellence. We have supported teams of teachers who have undertaken research into innovative classroom practices that will enhance out classroom teaching. We have excellent facilities with a well equipped gymnasium, a performing arts centre and a well equipped library and computer laboratory. Staff, parents and students are proud of our school and work together to continually improve facilities, the environment and programs.
