Annandale Christian College is located in Townsville, North Queensland, in close proximity to Lavarack Barracks, James Cook University and the Townsville Hospital. Staff, students and parents see themselves as a purposeful, educational community and are committed to building a vibrant, mutually supportive learning community and a vision of education that is biblically grounded, academically rigorous and available to all who desire it. The College has a current student population of approximately 470, and measures its success by the character of its people (staff, students and parents) and the relationships amongst them as well as excellence in academic, creative and sporting achievement. Valuing every child and educating the whole child (academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually), the College has a fine reputation for orderly conduct, controlled class sizes, a well-rounded educational program, joy in teaching and learning and a stimulating and friendly environment. Whilst actively fostering a 'one school'? approach, the College recognises four sub-schools based on the current Queensland curriculum and good teaching practice: Kindergarten (4 year old group), Primary School (Preparatory to Year 7), Junior Secondary (Years 8 to 10) and Senior Secondary (Years 11 and 12).
