Tecoma Primary School strives to create a responsive, cooperative, innovative teaching and learning environment. Currently with an enrolment of 321 and rising, we aim for development of the whole person as a committed life-long learner, who embraces self development, achievement and contributes to their community. Our School Values of Respect, Integrity, Community, Creativity/Innovation, Learning and Personal Best are fostered in classroom practice and promoted through our weekly student achievement awards. Tecoma offers a comprehensive and sequential integrated curriculum based around a whole school theme. Information Communication Technologies are integrated into classroom practice via a school wide network, interactive whiteboards, supported by a state-of-the-art computer lab. Acknowledging the diversity of learning styles, the school is committed to integrating extra curricular-activities opportunities into the classroom. We foster social competencies through musical productions, camping, buddy and leadership programs and a vegetable patch incorporated into our garden club. Tecoma is undergoing a school refurbishment program which will culminate in all grades in classrooms less than 3 years old to be completed in June/July . The school has 21.63 full time staff: 2 principal class, 1 leading teacher, 15.82 teacher class & 3.84 Education Support staff.
