Hillsmeade aims to facilitate and guide the development of our students to become dynamic and flexible members of the local and global communities, successful learners who understand the world and how to act effectively within widely varying contexts. We provide quality learning programs in all curriculum areas, particularly English and Mathematics. To meet the individual needs of our 850 students we offer a range of flexible learning options including; support programssuch as Bridges, Reading Recovery, Phonemic awareness, numeracy groups and an inclusive program for students with special needs. We also have a wide range of extra curricula activities. Our values of teamwork, integrity, responsibility, honesty, productivity, respect, empathy and understanding encourage the development of independence, active participation and leadership within the school and wider community. Information and Communication Technologies is integrated across the curriculum. Partnerships with local government and South East Water are designed to further enhance student learning and our strong environmental focus. Parent participation on; school council, as classroom helpers, in curriculum events and fundraising activities, is a vital part of school life. Our attractive, safe and stimulating learning environment is being developed as a very successful Community Precinct with the addition of an Early Learning Centre.
