Hamlyn Banks Primary School is a dynamic learning community committed to developing life long learners and responsible future members of our society. Hamlyn Banks Primary has established itself as a school that provides outstanding opportunities for all of its students. It provides outstanding Educational Programs in all curriculum areas and maintains a strong focus on individualising instruction in English and Mathematics to cater for the needs of all students. An outstanding Visual and Performing Arts program supports the development of student creativity. Parents and community volunteers support our school in many ways including class assistance and enhancement of our facilities. In 2010 our enrolment commenced with 315 students and it continued to grow during the year. Our school also maintained a significant focus on the further development of respectful relationships, effective teaching and learning programs, a challenging yet supportive learning environment and the promotion of a strong sense of personal integrity, self belief and self worth. A carefully structured Integrated curriculum program supports the implementation of Inquiry Learning. Staff are committed to enhancing their skills and knowledge through Professional Learning opportunities. Restorative Practices underpins our approach to Student Wellbeing. The school had 20.6 equivalent full-time staff in 2010 comprising of 2 Principal Class Officers, 17 Teaching Staff and 6 Educational Support Staff.
