St. Laurence's is a Catholic community that fosters a love of Christ, a love of one another and a love of learning to ensure that all children reach their maximum potential. Our Motto 'Love is the Way' supports our values where learning evolves through being part of a connected community built on positive relationships with each other, our community and with our God. St.Laurence's is a single stream K- 6 school (K-6) in the Bathurst Diocese and is situated in Dubbo in the Central West of NSW. As St. Laurence's continues to grow we have been involved in more sporting opportunities with students representing the Diocese in swimming and athletics and at State level for athletics. St.Laurence's is involved in an inter-school sporting program for all students from K-6 with Macquarie Anglican Grammar School. This is a non-competitive skills and games based program. Our school focus is one which offers students opportunities to explore their individual abilities to reach their full potential, allowing them to be positive participants and contributors in society. St. Laurence's plays an important part in the community by being involved in the weekly Masses celebrated in the church which is on the site next to the school. St. Laurence's is also involved in an inter school debating competition offered to Years 5 and 6 and involves all the Dubbo Catholic Primary Schools. We also have a very close relationship with St. Mary's Villa, an aged care facility, which groups of students visit once a month to be involved with the residents. The residents also regularly visit the school. St. Laurence's offers a well developed music program which offers students the opportunity to learn a musical instrument through the Macquarie Conservatorium. A diverse use of technology is possible with Smart boards installed in every classroom. The school also has a large number of computers available in the computer lab as well as in each classroom.
