Herons Creek Public School is an 'eco' focused school with many environmental programs in place to equip students to understand and practise living in sustainable ways. Our school is well resourced, with fully networked computers within the classrooms complemented by interactive whiteboards. Our school has a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, with support programs where needed. Our school provides high academic achievement, opportunities for all students to display their talents and creativity and programs and activities that meet our student's needs and priorities. We offer an innovative creative arts program including dance, drama, art and music, fostering the creative talents and interests of each student. The school has its own all weather tennis court, basketball area, new play equipment, large oval and shade structure. An extensive sports program operates at our school which includes visits to our school by a number of sporting organisations and participation with other small schools in our area for athletics, swimming and cross country carnivals. Opportunities are provided for all of our students to participate in district and regional activities in cultural, sporting and academic areas.
