Ironbark Ridge Public School opened in 2005. It is a modern, attractive school situated in the growing North Western Sydney suburbs. The school has maintained steady population growth and has developed a well deserved reputation for the quality and variety of educational experiences on offer to students including public speaking and debating, instrumental music, dance, sport and LOTE (Chinese). The core values of the school are articulated through the school rules: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful. Students are encouraged to develop resilience and a strong ethos of school citizenship is encouraged through student leadership, peer mediation and peer support programs. The school has an Opportunity Class for Years 5 and 6 which has been established to cater for academically able students. Places are offered following a statewide assessment through the DET Selective Schools Unit. Students who may be experiencing some difficulties with their learning are supported through our effective Learning Support Program. The school is supported and valued by its local community and the Parents and Citizens Association is active in running the school canteen and uniform shop. The parents also lead the Traffic Management Committee, which has had great success in addressing issues such as footpaths, safe crossing places, school buses and parking around the school. The P&C also initiated a Walking School Bus. Ironbark Ridge PS is an enthusiastic member of the Rouse Hill Learning Community.
