Bell Primary School is committed to building active student and community involvement - a principle that underpins a range of programs and community bodies. The school is supported by an active community including the Bell Art Group, Library Working Group and School Council Subcommittees.Our school encourages students to operate both independently and co-operatively, to be valued and to value others and to take pride and pleasure in participation and achievement. Respect, learning, teamwork, honesty and creativity are the key values that guide our future planning and direction setting. We are currently in the fourth year of the NMR Achievement Improvement Zone project. As part of the project, we will continue our focus on enhancing classroom teaching and learning strategies and improving student achievement outcomes with an emphasis on individual extension and support . Programs for Visual and Performing Arts, Science, Environment and a Health and Personal development program complement these essential learnings as well as providing a wide range of extracurricular activities.The students also participate in a wide range of physical activites including interschool sport, swimming, dance sport, gymnastics and a outdoor education camping program. The newly completed Learning Centre and refurbished main building provide flexible learning areas that support staff in catering for the learning needs of individual students.This school has 16 equivalent fulltime staff, 2 Principal class and 4.37 equivalent fulltime Education Support staff.
