Reservoir Primary provides supportive yet challenging educational program for 210 students of diverse backgrounds, cultures and needs. School values of respect, responsibility, acceptance and personal excellence are embedded in the curriculum programs, resulting in positive attitudes towards learning and successful outcomes. Teaching staff have been involved in the regional Achievement Improvement Zone project for three years now; they are committed to even further improvement in their implementation of excellent programs in line with Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS). School performance results provide evidence that student achievement is strong, parent satisfaction is very positive and that the school achieves its goals of being a caring, nurturing and successful educational environment for its diverse community. We continue to implement programs and practices that promote independence and confidence in our young students; the school is involved in the local environment and takes part in local programs that link students with their own suburban area and its resources. In using these programs, awareness of worldwide issues are also addressed, thinking skills are developed further and the use of information and computer technology are integrated through the curriculum.
