Belgrave Heights Christian School provides a warm and caring environment for children from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Our dedicated staff are committed Christians who nurture each student to help them reach their full potential. The small school environment allows staff to get to know each student by name. The school buildings are set in amongst native, mature trees and grounds include the Monbulk Creek as well as landscaped dry creek beds and water features. This provides a stunning backdrop to the buildings. The school’s infrastructure and equipment provide high quality academic, recreation and sporting facilities. The school provides a broad academic education encompassing teaching the students life skills to ensure they become more balanced and rounded citizens. Learning extends beyond the classroom, and includes field work, excursions, camps and community involvement. BHCS offers a Kindergarten Program, including a purpose built 3 and 4 year old learning centre opened in January 2012. A brand new Multi-Purpose Hall gives students access to both indoor and outdoor state of the art sporting facilities and performing arts spaces. In February 2012 the new Discovery Centre was opened for use, incorporating creative learning technologies, iPads, diverse and flexible learning spaces and a VCE study centre. The school also has a thriving environmental program, involving an eco-centre, orchard, wetlands, veggie garden and chickens. It aims to be environmentally sustainable whilst passing these skills on to the students. An open enrolment policy means that all students are welcome to attend, although recent rapid growth means waiting lists do apply for 2012 and 2013.
