2010 was Toora Primary School's first year in their new purpose built school which was created as part of the state's Building Futures Project. Though there are elements that are still to be completed the school community has been very pleased with project outcomes. The design enhances flexibility of programming, easily accommodates team teaching and the development of professional learning teams within the school whilst supporting effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) inclusive of the Ultranet. Toora Primary School challenges and supports students to reach their full potential and provides a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that engages students whilst promoting healthy decision making and social competencies. Teachers know their students well and provide quality programs matched to student needs and interests. Teachers have high expectations of their students and ensure they experience success and celebrate achievements. Students are supported to set their own goals and reflect on their learning. Diversity is valued and is considered in all teaching. Students are skilled to take up leadership opportunities. Ongoing improvement is a shared expectation of the Toora Primary School community. Staff, students and parents work together to maximise learning. Parents participate in many aspects of the school including School Council, sporting activities, Active After- School Communities program and grounds improvement.
