Opened in 1990, Greenfields Primary lies in the city of Mandurah about 70km south of Perth, catering for 400 students from K-7. The school has 15 classrooms, all with computers linked to the school intranet; a specialist art room, a music room and a well-equipped computer suite. In 2010 a new purpose built Early Childhood centre and a modern library will be opened. The grounds are extensive, with fully fenced basketball courts, a netball court, cricket pitch and practice nets, an oval and three adventure playgrounds as well as native gardens and quiet areas for children to sit. We have a covered outdoor learning area with tables and benches, and a large undercover area used for assemblies and for sport. Our school motto, Together We Grow, informs all aspects of academic and social education at Greenfields. We have strong links with the local area and community members are actively encouraged to involve themselves in the work of the school through the P&C, School Council, Breakfast Club or as canteen volunteers, classroom helpers or mentors. Through the hard work of dedicated teachers and education assistants, enthusiastic students and supportive families, Together We do Grow.
