Lockridge Primary School is located 12kms from the Perth CBD, in the City of Swan, and has an enrolment of 230 students. The school population presents a mixture of cultural and ethnic backgrounds across all age levels. Approximately one third of the school population are from an Aboriginal background. There is some degree of transiency within the community and numbers vary throughout the year. During 2009 Lockridge Primary School is being rebuilt on it's original site. The new school will boast 'State of the Art' buildings designed to ensure easy integration of technology into the teaching and learning program. Lockridge Primary School offers an innovative environment where staff believe that students should have access to a flexible, supportive learning environment and have the opportunity to progress at their own rate of development. We provide support for students with specific educational needs in an inclusive environment. Numeracy and Literacy are priorities with children learning through active engagement with their environment, negotiation with their teachers and cooperation with their peers.
