Balmoral Community College is committed to continuous improvement and achieving excellence in teaching and learning at every level. A balanced P-12 Curriculum is offered to meet the varied needs of all students. The College offers our senior students a good mix of core and pathways electives and students from year 10 are able to particpate in VCE, VCAL and VET programs. Our programs are designed to cater for the individual needs of students. Our Middle Years program continues to strengthen with the inclusion of Year 8 to the unit. The P-4 area are well catered for with the Early Years program and students have access to LOTE, the Arts, Physical Education, Design and Technology and IT. There is a strong partnership between parents and staff, with a high level of parent participation on school council, as classroom helpers, in student led conferences and in fundraising for the school. The college has been involved with an extensive building project with a new administration block, upgrade to science wing completed and the trade training centre and full size gymnasium near completion. The building and grounds make a very attractive setting for students and staff to engage in teaching and learning. The school has 24 equivalent full-time staff: 2 principal class, 20 teachers and 6 Education Support staff.
