Leda Primary School is situated in the Perth metropolitan area in the locality of Kwinana. The school caters for students from kindergarten to year six. The student population sits around 450 and is comprised of a range of families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Also onsite is the Leda Education Support Centre catering for special needs students. The school focus is on priority areas of Literacy, Numeracy and Pastoral Care. This includes excellent support programs such as a School Chaplain, volunteer mentors, 'Active after School' and specialist teachers for Literacy and Numeracy. Our school has specialist teachers in the areas of Physical Education, Music and Languages Other Than English (Italian). We have a school choir which show cases the children's efforts in the community achieving many accolades for their performances. Leda also has soccer program coached by a highly qualified staff member and participate in several major competitions throughout the year. The school partners with community groups to run an early intervention program 'KEYS to School'. In addition our pastoral care initiative is enhanced by the 'Better Buddies' and 'Kids Matter' program.
