Edwardstown Primary School is highly respected for our educational programs and strong community connections. We offer curriculum specialisation in the areas of performing arts, French and physical education. The current emphases are science, mathematics, literacy and information and communication technologies that support learning. A wide variety of enrichment programs are offered to support, engage and excite all learners. These include camps, instrumental music, junior and senior choirs, dance programs, literacy intervention, special education, English as a second language and Greek. We are proactive in environmental education through recycling, composting, vegetable gardening and native gardens. These and other responsibilities are part of student leadership opportunities that also includes a Student Representative Council. Our school values of respect, care and compassion, and doing your best are reflected throughout the learning programs and form the basis of behavioral expectations. Our school is acknowledged for our strong culture of parent and community support and there is active parental involvement and participation in the life of the school. A range of after-school sport is offered and strongly supported by parents. Out of hours school care and vacation care programs also provide highly valued support for families.
