Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School Toowoomba has grown since its inaugural 1940 founding to a school of approximately 400 Prep to Year 7 students. The school is well known for its community spirit, its excellent resources and student outcomes. Many opportunities are provided for our children to reach their spiritual, academic, physical and emotional best. The school draws students from across Toowoomba and the rural suburbs surrounding the city. School families have ready access to a variety of outside hours care providers and extracurricular activities. In recent years our students have experienced success at local eisteddfods, maths competitions, regional and state sporting carnivals and lateral thinking tournaments. Our approach to supporting student health development includes inclusion of the 'You Can Do It' and Better Buddies programs in the school curriculum as well as a school emphasis on supporting motor and physical skill acquisition. We believe our students need to be lifelong learners, equipped with the skills required to learn, transfer learning, use ICT, contribute to teams, manage change and be self-aware. As such, we are committed to providing an integrated and well-balanced Catholic education in an atmosphere that reflects the values of the Gospels.
